Suburgatory alumna Jane Levy is set to co-star opposite André Holland in Hulu’s upcoming psychological-horror drama series Castle Rock from J.J. Abrams and Stephen King. Also boarding the show in a key role is an actress closely associated with King’s cinematic world, Carrie star Sissy Spacek.
Holland will play Henry, a death row attorney with a unique and complicated history in Castle Rock.
Oscar winner alum Spacek will play Ruth Deaver, the estranged adoptive mother of Henry (Holland). She’s a retired professor whose fading memories might hold a key to Castle Rock’s unsettling past. Levy plays Jackie, the death-obsessed self-appointed historian of Castle Rock.
Mr Mercedes is heading to ComicCon.
Mr. Mercedes, the adapation set for AT&T’s Audience network which will begin airing in August, will be holding a panel on Sunday, July 23 from 1:30PM-2:30PM. They’ll be bringing along director Jack Bender, as well as cast members Harry Tredaway, Holland Taylor, Kelly Lynch, Jharrel Jerome, and Breeda Wool to discuss the upcoming series. The series also stars Brendan Gleeson, but it doesn’t look like he will be on the panel.
News about Stephen & Owen’s signings for Sleeping Beauties are starting to come in and here I will list news as they come in.

What if a love song was really the title of a King book? What would that look like? Well, Butcher Billy know...
Stephen King is one of the most influential authors of horror, supernatural fiction, suspense, science fiction, and fantasy. His dark and twisted imagination has been crucial in shaping the contemporary pop culture since the late 70's - when his novels were first discovered by filmmakers like Stanley Kubrick and Brian De Palma - until more recently with modern TV series like Stranger Things paying homage to his brilliant influence and monumental contribution to pop culture.
This series imagines an alternate universe in which some of the most hopeless, desperate and tragic heartbreak songs of the 70's and 80's were actually novels written by Stephen King. The concept is to look at the dark side of love through the lenses of pop culture, bringing twisted aspects of his classic stories to play with the original meanings of the songs - that can be completely subverted or strangely emphasized, while paying tribute to the vintage design of the original book covers.
On July 4th, the book Nope, Nothing Wrong Here: The Making of Cujo is released and to celebrate that I have gotten three photos signed by Dee Wallace to give away. The only thing you need is to answer three questions. I will then draw three winners who each will get one of these signed photos.

Here is a Pennywise statue that will be released later this year.
A highly detailed Premium Motion Statue of Pennywise from the classic movie. Tim Curry’s likeness of the sewer dwelling clown is hauntingly immortalized in this 15” tall recreation of the character as seen in the popular roadside scene where he waves while holding floating balloons. Best of all, this statue features audio of your favorite lines from the film.
This isn't King but it's his son and I know a lot of you, like me, enjoy Hill almost as much as King. so, I got his latest newsletter and in it were two pretty cool photos.
This one is just for fun...
...but this makes me wish October was here.
Oh, and I found this trailer for the pilot for Locke & Key that never happened. Too bad, it looks really good if you ask me.

The Mist is only 6 days away and I got a chance to talk to Alyssa Sutherland who plays Eve Copeland on the show and asked her about how she got the part and if she’s nervous about how the fans of King’s story will react to the TV series…
Filming of Castle Rock (will air on Hulu) is expected to begin in August and run until January next year.
New England Studios will only have the look of King's fictional town -- Castle Rock, Maine -- the setting of many of his horror stories.
Production crews have already moved in to produce a 10-episode Hulu series this summer called "Castle Rock." It will be a high-profile "psychological-horror series" from well-known executive producer J.J. Abrams and King, according to Hulu.
The production crews are starting to build sets on site. Filming is expected to begin in August and run until January.

Castle Rock will be filming in Maine.
The wait for Massachusetts has ended with the production of the 10-episode series "Castle Rock," on the 28-acre plot in Devens that houses New England Studios.
Described by Hulu as a "psychological-horror series," from well-known executive producer J.J. Abrams and author Stephen King, Byers points out that when New England Studios officially opened in 2013, this is what creators had in mind.
The town of Bridgeville, Maine is a pressure cooker even before a mysterious mist rolls in. Get to know the residents and their stories before the premiere…

Hodder & Stoughton is releasing Gwendy’s Button Box in the UK. The book is written by Stephen King & Richard Chizmar. The eBook and audio digital download have just been released and Hodder will follow up with a hardcover edition on 27 June.
The audio also contains King’s story The Music Room and a conversation between Stephen King & Richard Chizmar.
Here is a new featurette, entitled Reimagining The Mist and it offers insight into Spike’s reimagining the classic Stephen King novella for television – with showrunner Christian Torpe noting the similarities and the differences of the series to both the story and the 2007 film version.
When asked if there would be pre-signed books at the Sleeping Beauties tour stops or if Stephen and Owen would be signing “live” the moderator on King’s board said:
No signings on this tour.
That probably means there will be pre-signed books given out at random to those who attend. Last tour there were about 400 at each stop.
Also, closing in on the half-way-mark now and so far, it looks like I’ll be attending one stop at the tour. A huge thanks to everyone who has donated!
