Here are my recap/thoughts on episode 10 (Season Finale) of The Mist. Please let me know what you think.
So far no word on a second season but if they get a second chance and if they do it right I still think they can make this show work. But no more horsemen or moths that gives men wings. We need scary not strange!
Here are my recap/thoughts on episode 3 of Mr Mercedes. Please let me know what you think.
After three episodes Brady Hartsfield might be one of the move creepy villains King has created.
59E59 Theaters has announced its complete fall lineup and included is an opera version of Dolores Claiborne.
Also slated for October will be New York City Opera’s production of Dolores Claireborne, adapted by Tobias Picker with a libretto by J. D. McClatchy. Michael Cpasso will direct, with Pacian Mazzagatti tapped to conduct. A cast will be announced at a later date; performances will run October 22–29.
Here is a very special edition of IT from Dragon Rebound Editions.
The book enclosure and lid design are based on a literal depiction of the original cover illustration for “IT”, with the sewer grate covering the storm drain. The sewer grate becomes the lid to the box, which holds the book.

I must say, Kelly Lynch is perfect as Deborah. Creepy but that is perfect for the part.
In an interview with Swedish HD Nikolaj Arcel says he won’t be doing any more Dark Tower movies. This however don’t mean that there won’t be more Dark Tower, just that if there are Arcel won’t be directing them.
Alan Pangborn cast:
The Hulu anthology series has added The Leftovers and The Defenders actor Scott Glenn as a series regular. He'll play Alan Pangborn, a retired sheriff who presided over some of the darkest years in Castle Rock's checkered history — a Kingian icon at the center of Needful Things and The Dark Half.
Here are some info about 1922 and Gerald’s Game from Fantastic Fest 2017. 1922
USA, 2017
World Premiere, 101 mins
Director – Zak Hilditch
1922 is based on Stephen King’s 131-page story telling of a man’s confession of his wife’s murder. The tale is told from from the perspective of Wilfred James, the story’s unreliable narrator who admits to killing his wife, Arlette, in Nebraska. But after he buries her body, he finds himself terrorized by rats, and as his life begins to unravel, he becomes convinced his wife is haunting him.
Gerald’s Game
USA, 2017
US Premiere, 103 mins
Director – Mike Flanagan
Flanagan unites with master of the macabre Stephen King for his cinematic interpretation of King’s beloved GERALD’S GAME. Starring Carla Gugino and Bruce Greenwood, GERALD’S GAME delivers pitch-perfect performances in a faithful adaptation where the horrors of the mind are much worse than what’s in front of you.
On the first print run of the UK edition of Sleeping Beauties there will be four versions of the cover. On the book itself (under the dustjacket) there will be either a tiger, a snake, a moth or a fox. But be quick if you want all four. It’s just the first print run that will have all four.
Lurking behind the dust jacket on the first UK hardback print run of Sleeping Beauties you’ll find four hidden covers printed on the board, featuring beautiful foiled animal illustrations.
If you’re ordering online the one you receive will be random, or you can head to your local bookstore and seek out your favourite. Look out for the sticker on the cover of the first print run.
Here is something you need to check out if you’re in the UK. BFI Southbank is celebrating King this September. They will show a lot of his films and they will have a preview screening of IT on September 4th.
Here are my recap/thoughts on episode 8 of The Mist. Please let me know what you think.
With episode 8 The Mist is starting to get interesting again. I’m very happy to say that I actually got a bit invested in this episode.
Here are my recap/thoughts on the pilot of Mr Mercedes. Please let me know what you think.
The first 8 minutes are extremely powerful and I think the series creators have done a fantastic job!
In a Q&A with USA Today King reveals that his next book is called The Outsider. No release date was revealed but a guess is 2018.
Anything you want to spill about The Outsider?
Nope. Well, there’s a lot of things I want to say about that, but I can’t. It’s too cool to talk about right now. All I can say is it won’t be out in 2017 because I’ve got enough going on.
Fantastic Fest, the annual genre cinema bonanza in Austin, Texas, and the largest film festival of its kind in the United States, is doubling down on Stephen King mania in its 2017 edition with Netflix’s highly anticipated Gerald’s Game and a feature adaptation of the author’s horror novella 1922. Both King projects were announced Tuesday in the first wave of Fantastic Fest’s 2017 programming lineup.

Here is an interview with Andy Muschietti and a new photo of Pennywise.
If the Muschiettis get their way, It will just be the first of several Stephen King-related projects to make it to the screen. The siblings own the rights to King’s sci-fi horror short The Jaunt, which was first published in 1981.
But they really want to tackle a big-screen redo of 1983’s Pet Sematary.
“We’re huge fans of Pet Sematary,” Muschietti says. “If we can get our hands on that and do the Pet Sematary we want to do, that will be something. One day, maybe.”
Birth. Movies. Death.attended a Q&A with King just before they got a first look at The Dark Tower movie. You can read the entire thing over at their site but I want to highlight one VERY INTERESTING thing that King said. Can you talk about what you’re working on now?
No.
[Laughs] Worth a shot.
There’s a book done for next year and there’s a book I wrote with my son called Sleeping Beauties that’s out next month, and he and I are going to go on tour. It’s nice to be able to write a book with your son. He told me what to do and I did it. It’s a preview of the old folks home.
So, there you have it. King didn't give us any info about what the book was about. If it's the book about Holly from Mr Mercedes or something totally different but...We will have a new King book next year!
The Hollywood Reporter announced that former Walking Dead showrunner Glen Mazzara will be the showrunner for The Dark Tower TV series. Mazzara gave me confirmation that the info was correct.
Orange dresses up as ‘Castle Rock’ for Stephen King Hulu series
ORANGE — Town Hall will not be closed on Aug. 8, but you can expect delays when production crews film scenes in downtown Orange and at the First Universalist Church for “Castle Rock,” an upcoming series inspired by the works of horror writer Stephen King.
Joseph Stargensky, a freelance location manager for Hulu, the subscription video-on-demand service producing “Castle Rock,” said traffic will be detoured around the center of town for the early part of the day, but he did not see a reason to close Town Hall. He said the main intersection will close from 5:30 a.m. to noon so filming can last from 7 a.m. until noon. Filming, he said, will move to the church on North Main Street in the afternoon.
Downtown businesses will remain open to pedestrian traffic during filming.
