Dear Stephen,I have been reading your books for the last 34 years. During those years you’ve been constantly present in my life. Some periods very present, others less, but always present. During these 34 years I’ve gone to school, gotten married, changed jobs and raised a family and time has sometimes been limited but I’ve always made time when there’s a new story.
In the beginning, I read the books in Swedish but as the translated books all got read I started reading in English. I didn’t want to wait for them to be translated and I’m 100% certain that I did as good as I did in English class because I was reading your books in English. I’m not sure my teachers would agree but I know this for a fact.
During the years I have read everything I can get my hands on. And the feeling is always the same. A feeling of excitement when I get that new book in my hands and then a feeling of joy and happiness when I open it and read the first page and the second and the third… I feel so blessed to have something that gives me that feeling. Don’t get me wrong there are a lot of things in life that gets me excited and happy and fill me with joy but this is a very special feeling. I can’t explain it but if you have experienced it you know exactly what I’m talking about. And unfortunately, a lot of people never get to feel anything like that. I do and for that I’m extremely grateful.
And for that I want to thank you Stephen! And congratulations! Today is your day!

Father Daughter Dance, a short film co-written by Mark Jude Poirier and Owen King will be playing at the San Pedro International Film Festival at 3PM on October 8th. The film stars Robert Anthony Peters (The Pursuit of Happyness), Jennifer Lafleur (Big Little Lies), and Jerry Rocha (The Gentleman Jerry Rocha).Because of his wife’s newfound religion and his daughter’s recent ascent into teen-dom, Lee feels like an interloper in his own life.

Disturbing Scene Cut From IT

"There was a scene we shot that was a flashback from the 1600s, before Pennywise [was Pennywise]," he explained on an episode of Variety's Playback podcast. "The scene turned out really, really disturbing. And I'm not the clown. I look more like myself. It's very disturbing, and sort of a backstory for what It is, or where Pennywise came from."

On October 20th, horror master John Carpenter will be releasing Anthology: Movie Themes 1974-1998 via Sacred Bones Records. A compilation album of rerecorded themes from the director’s films, the album will feature themes such as They Live, Dark Star, Prince of Darkness, The Fog, and more.
To celebrate this upcoming album, Carpenter has released a brand new music video for the rerecording of Christine. The video tells the tale of a young woman whose car breaks down in the backstreets of Los Angeles, whereupon she is chased down by the infamous 1958 Plymouth Fury.

Thin Scenery is a new story by King that can be found in Ploughshares summer 2017 issue.The Summer 2017 issue of Ploughshares. Ploughshares is an award-winning journal of new writing. Two out of each year’s three issues are guest-edited by prominent writers who explore different personal visions, aesthetics, and literary circles; the Winter issue is staff-edited.

Gary Dauberman Hired For IT Part 2

New Line is making strides on the “It” sequel, hiring writer Gary Dauberman to work on the script.
Andy Muschietti, who directed “It,” is expected to return for the second installment, although he has not closed a deal yet. Producers Barbara Muschietti, Roy Lee, Dan Lin, Seth Grahame-Smith, and David Katzenberg are believed to be back as well.

My review of IT is out. But please note that there are spoilers. Enjoy!.I was worried that the high expectations that were placed on this movie based on all the things we saw before its premier would be too much and it would be caught in the fact that it was a good movie but people’s expectations were inhumanly high resulting in people still being disappointed. Well, that didn't happen and the movie lived up to my expectations and for that I'm extremely happy!
