_
Castle Rock is in production and Bleeding Cool has posted a summaries of what we know so far. This season’s cast includes Lizzy Caplan (Masters of Sex), Tim Robbins (Here and Now), Elsie Fisher (Eighth Grade), Paul Sparks (Boardwalk Empire, House of Cards), Barkhad Abdi (Blade Runner 2049), Matthew Alan (13 Reasons Why), John Hoogenakker (Tom Clancy’s Jack Ryan), Robin Weigert (Big Little Lies, Deadwood), Alison Wright(The Americans), Greg Grunberg (A Star is Born, Heroes), and Sarah Gadon(True Detective).

It also looks like season 2 will be slightly connected to the first season…

Having finished shooting the premiere episode earlier this week, Greg Yaitanes revealed that this season begins “on the heels” of the first season. While no names have been mentioned, this does open up the possibility of characters from the first season making guest appearances as well as giving viewers a larger view of Castle Rock.

The Shining vs. Doctor Sleep Trailer

The trailer for Doctor Sleep is now out and in it there are some scenes that looks like they are grabbed straight from The Shining. However, the only scene that is from The Shining is the one with the bloody elevators. All the other scenes are recreated by Mike Flanagan. Very impressive if you ask me.

André Øvredal Talks The Long Walk

André Øvredal talks The Long Walk with Rue Morgue.

As a director, it’s extremely inspiring to be able to tell a story that is so human and so gruesome at the same time. It’s like man vs. the machine in a way, and about the innocence of these boys and how they don’t really grasp what they’ve gotten themselves into until it’s way too late. I’m in awe of Stephen King for having understood so much about humanity at the age of 18 or 19 when he wrote this. It’s an adult story, but written with a young person’s perspective, probably of the Vietnam War; it’s kind of an allegory, I’m guessing, for his fears of being sent to Vietnam at the time.

Plot & Photos From Season 3 Of Mr Mercedes

Posted: June 5, 2019, 08:46
_
Here is a first look at some photos from season 3 of Mr Mercedes. The season premiers September 10.

Based on the Bill Hodges trilogy from prolific author Stephen King, season three of Mr. Mercedes will closely follow the story contained in “Finders Keepers,” the second book of the series, and continue to explore the fallout from the massacre perpetrated by Brady Hartsfield.

When beloved local author John Rothstein is found murdered, Hodges, Holly, and Jerome, along with local police, must track down his killer. But this case is more complex than the cold-blooded killing of an American icon. Unpublished novels of Rothstein’s were stolen from his home, and they are worth millions. As the case unfolds, the trio learns that although Brady may be gone, his depravity lives on in the lives of his victims.

Howard Admits Mistakes In Dark Tower Adaptation

In an interview with Collider Ron Howard admits mistakes The Dark Tower movie.

“I think it should’ve been horror. I think that it landed in a place—both in our minds and the studio’s—that it could be PG-13 and sort of a boy’s adventure… I really think we made a mistake not—I mean I’m not sure we could’ve made this movie, but I think if we could’ve made a darker, more hard-boiled look and make it The Gunslinger’s character study more than Jake. I think in retrospect that would’ve been more exciting. We always felt like we were kind of holding back something, and I think at the end of the day it was that.”

He also think that starting on TV would have been a good idea...

“The other thing might’ve been to just straight-on tackle it as television first. Disappointing because I poured a lot of myself into it, and sometimes this happens on these projects where everybody’s best intentions—you’re all pulling in a direction, and then you sort of say, ‘Was that the right direction?’ And I wouldn’t say it was all compromise. I do think it was just a sense of maybe too much listening to what you think that the marketplace is calling for instead of the essence of what Stephen King was giving us.”

King On Gwendy's Magic Feather

Here is a quote from King's introduction to Gwendy's Magic Feather called How Gwendy Escaped Oblivion

"In the story you're about to read—lucky you!—all of Rich's formidable skills are on display. He evokes Castle Rock well, and the regular Joes and regular Jills that populate the town ring true. We know these people, and so we care for them. We also care for Gwendy. To tell you the truth, I sort of fell in love with her, and I'm delighted that she's back for more."

Deadline reports that Hulu have made a deal to develop a pilot based on Eyes of the Dragon.

Hulu has made a deal to develop a pilot based on the King novel Eyes of the Dragon, which was first published in 1984. Seth Grahame-Smith (Lego Batman Movie) writing the opening episode and serving as the showrunner. Fox 21 is the studio. Grahame and his KatzSmith partner David Katzenberg will be exec producers along with Bill Haber, Roy Lee and Jon Berg.

“I am so excited to be working in the world of Stephen King with with Hulu, which has such a terrific track record with Stephen King adaptations,” Grahame-Smith told Deadline. “The goal for this series is to feel unlike any Stephen King adaptation before, with this rich underlying source material, and the only true fantasy book he wrote that has kings and swords and princesses. We will honor the spirit of the book and the legacy.”

More Info About If You Bleed

Some additional information has appeared on the King 2020 book, If you bleed . Some sources say King said the title was If it bleeds from the words "If it bleeds it". I guess we have to wait and see what the right title is.

I also hear that the king said that the story is about a news anchor / journalist who is also a kind of vampire feed on human suffering when he chases his stories.

As always when many people hear the same thing, they will perceive it differently and therefore the information is a little fuzzy. Hopefully we will soon have more accurate info.

Oh, and I also heard that the king said he was thinking of a sequel to Salem's Lot .
