Pet Sematary: Bloodlines Arrives In October

Pet Sematary: Bloodlines will premiere Friday, October 6, exclusively on Paramount+ in the U.S., Canada, Latin America and Brazil, and Saturday, October 7 in all other Paramount+ international markets.

The untold chapter’s official synopsis: “In 1969, a young Jud Crandall has dreams of leaving his hometown of Ludlow, Maine behind, but soon discovers sinister secrets buried within and is forced to confront a dark family history that will forever keep him connected to Ludlow. Banding together, Jud and his childhood friends must fight an ancient evil that has gripped Ludlow since its founding, and once unearthed has the power to destroy everything in its path.”

According to IMBD, it seems like the prequel to Pet Sematary will be released on October 7th. It dons’t seem to have a title yet though…

Pet Sematary Prequel Is Filmed

According to this interview with Collider from March 2022 with David Duchovny the Pet Sematary prequel is filmed.

Is there anything else that you're working on right now, that you can talk about?

DUCHOVNY: I just finished a movie called The Estate, with Toni Collette, Anna Faris, Rosemarie DeWitt, and Ron Livingston. I think it's really funny. And Keyla Monterroso, who was in Curb Your Enthusiasm. It's just terrific. Pet Sematary, I did that, it's like the prequel to all the Pet Sematary movies, and written and directed by a really talented young woman named Lindsey Beer, who I think is going to be a force to be reckoned with. So I think that's going to turn out really well.

Can I ask who you played in that, in Pet Sematary?

DUCHOVNY: I play Bill Baterman, the father of a young man that... I'm like the instigator of the whole damn thing. But at the heart of that story, for whatever iterations it's gone through, and for whatever horror Stephen King does, really, it's a story about parental love and mourning. And I can really relate to the themes underneath it, so I was happy to play that.

David Duchovny Cast In Pet Sematary Prequel.

Duchovny Central reports that David Duchovny has been cast in the Pet Sematary prequel. This is what they said:

The prequel stars David Duchovny, Pam Grier, Henry Thomas, Samantha Mathis, Jackson White, Jack Mulhern and Forrest Goodluck. Jackson White has been cast as a younger Crandall, so we do know the character is in the film.

In a clip on the site Duchovny take Jackson White for a member of the crew which might indicated that filming has already begun…
