All You Need To Know About Limited Charlie

Here is the latest info about the limited UK edition of Charlie the Choo Choo straight from Waterstones Customer Support:

- The official line is that this is a “scripted signature”.
- In the US, the actress was presented as Beryl and signed the prints using “Beryl’s signature”.
- The same signature appears on the prints, but it was a third person who held the pen.
- To be clear, Stephen King did not sign them.

From before we know the following:
- Release date is December 15
- It’s released in 1,000 copies
- Price is £20.00
- It has a slipcase

Limited Signed Charlie the Choo Choo

A beautiful limited edition slipcase of Charlie the Choo-Choo will publish on 15th December 2016 and includes a numbered and signed print by Beryl Evans. Copies will be available to buy from Waterstones. A hardback picture book edition will follow in the wider trade in July 2017 to tie in with the release of The Dark Tower film starring Idris Elba and Matthew McConaughey.

No further info has been released about how many copies will be released or if it will be signed by King (signing as Beryl Evans) or by the actress who signed the book at Comic Con.

Give Someone Charlie the Choo Choo For Christmas

Interested in giving someone a free copy of Charlie the Choo Choo for Christmas? Well, all you need to do is head over to Lilja’s Library’s Facebook page and like one of my posts there and in a comment to the same post, tag the person you want to give the book. The person who gets tagged needs to live in the US to qualify, the person who tags can live anywhere though.

You have to do it before December 10 and you also need to follow Lilja’s Library on Facebook so that I can contact you if you are one of the lucky once that gets to give away a copy of Charlie the Choo Choo for Christmas. You can tag as many people as many times as you like between now and December 10.

On December 11 I will select three lucky winners, contact you who have tagged them for their address and then send them a copy of Charlie the Choo Choo in time for Christmas. Sounds good? Well, what are you waiting for, go tag someone you like!

Charlie The Choo Choo In The Dark Tower Movie

It looks like the book Charlie the Choo Choo will actually be seen in the film version of The Dark Tower.

This was in the press release for the US edition of the book:
*As seen in the Dark Tower film, releasing in February 2017.*

And if we look at the cover for the UK edition there is actually a sticker stating that it will be in the movie.

The book is released November 22 in the US and December 1 in the UK and you can pre-order here:

Charlie the Choo Choo To Be Released

Ever since Comic Con we have been waiting for the news that the book Charlie the Choo Choo would be released in a version that you could buy…and not having to spend a fortune buying it on eBay. Now the day is here…well always. On November 22 Simon & Schuster Books for Young Readers will release the book.

The cover will look a bit different and have King’s name on it so those of you that got the first one, it will still be limited come November 22.

Anthony Breznican reports from the Charile the Choo Choo event at Comic Con in this Entertainment Weekly article.

“Beryl Evans” really was an actress – real name, Allison Davies of Los Angeles – but she’s not in the film. (Maybe someday.) She is a devoted fan of King’s, however, particularly his 2000 memoir On Writing.

Here are more info about the book.

There's an actual story and gorgeous illustrations by Ned Dameron who was the artist for The Waste Lands. Probably there will only be 150 copies available at the San Diego Comic Con. There will also be promotional t-shirts at the Comic Con.

Who's going? If anyone gets an extra let me know. I would really like a copy.
